You cannot run deep, personalized outreach on a thousand people. You would never finish. So you reserve that effort for the people who actually have a reason to buy right now, and you let a score tell you who those people are.

Most reps do outreach the same way: build a list and work down it. No prioritization, templated messages, no idea who is likely to reply. Scoring changes that. When an agent has researched every prospect and ranked them by how likely they are to care about your offer, you can tune each sequence to the level the prospect actually warrants. We call that sequence tuning, and here is how our own team runs it.

## Below 60: build familiarity, spend nothing

These prospects are still in your ICP, but the research did not surface anything urgent. There is no specific "why now."

So they get a few non-personalized emails spread over a couple of months. The goal is slow brand familiarity in case something changes for them later. Effort from the rep: essentially zero.

## 60 to 84: light personalization at the account level

Here the research usually found one or two signals that could trigger a need. Real reasons to talk, but nothing that signals urgency.

These get a short sequence, roughly five steps across email and LinkedIn, no cold calls. You work from a template and personalize lightly around the signals that showed up. Effort: five to ten minutes per prospect.

## 85 and up: the full multichannel effort

At this level the agent is telling you this is not just another name on the list. There are usually several signals stacked on the same account that, taken together, say this person needs to talk to you now. You just have to earn their attention.

These get the extended treatment: a long multichannel sequence across email, phone, and LinkedIn, with real prospect-level personalization built on the insights the research surfaced. Effort: about an hour per prospect, spread across a few weeks.

## 95 and up: the kitchen sink

At the very top, you assume this person is going to buy from you. You just need to reach them. Everything is custom, built around what the research found: tailored offers, personalized demo videos, whatever the specific situation calls for. Reps only do a handful of these a week, because that is all the top of the list should hold.

## Why this matters beyond efficiency

The obvious benefit is that you stop spending an hour on a prospect who warranted five minutes. The less obvious one is motivation. It is hard to stay motivated when everyone is just a name on a list. It is a completely different job when an agent shows you who your next customer is likely to be, and lets you pour your best effort exactly where it counts.

## Where this leaves you

The deep, personalized version of outreach is only worth doing because the score already told you who is worth it. Tune the effort to the tier, and both your time and your energy go where they actually move the number.
